Here Are The Cases Faced By NCP Leaders Who Joined Hands With NDA

The BJP has come under attack from the Opposition parties after NCP leader Ajit Pawar and eight others were inducted into the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government.

The Congress and other parties have slammed the BJP, saying the ruling party's "washing machine" has resumed its operations and it can no longer talk about fighting corruption as it has joined hands with tainted leaders.

Ajit Pawar, who split the NCP and took oath as the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, said his party decided to join the BJP-Shiv Sena government for the development of the country and praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

However, it is interesting to note that several MLAs, who joined the NDA alliance, are facing a probe by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in cases linked to money laundering.

Here Is The List:

• Ajit Pawar is facing a probe in the Co-operative Bank scam and Irrigation scam. However, the ED's chargesheet filed in April in the alleged irregularities in loans sanctioned by Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank this year has not mentioned Pawar's name.
• Chhagan Bhujbal, who was apprehended by the ED in 2015, has two money laundering cases filed against him. The first case pertains to purported discrepancies in the allocation of a valuable plot in Mumbai, while the second case involves significant irregularities in the construction of the new Maharashtra Sadan. Bhujbal is presently out on bail, awaiting trial in both cases.
• Hasan Mushrif is being investigated in a money laundering case linked to a probe related to alleged irregularities in the operations of some sugar mills based in the state that are connected to Mushrif, including the Sar Senapati Santaji Ghorpade Sugar Factory Ltd to which his three sons are linked.
• Sunil Tatkare, whose daughter Aditi Tatkare has also joined the NDA, is being probed by the ACB in the irrigation scam case.
• Last but not least, Dhananjay Munde is facing sexual harassment allegations of sexual harassment from a woman who describes herself as a playback singer.
