Hemant Soren Takes Oath As Jharkhand CM
Five days after registering a massive victory, Hemant Soren took oath as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand today.
Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar administered the oath of office and secrecy to the 49-year-old JMM leader at 4 pm. This is Soren's fourth stint as chief minister of the state.

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, CPI(ML)L general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin. PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti and Bihar's Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav attended the oath-taking ceremony.
In the recently concluded elections, the JMM-led coalition registered a resounding victory, securing a second consecutive term in power. The alliance swept 56 out of 81 seats.
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) emerged as the dominant force, winning 34 seats, while its allies, the Congress and the RJD, secured 16 and 4 seats, respectively. Additionally, the CPI(ML) Liberation claimed two constituencies.
In stark contrast, the NDA managed only 24 seats. The BJP secured 21, while its allies - AJSU Party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), and JD(U) - won one seat each.
Who Will Be Part Of Soren's Cabinet?
Although only Soren is likely to take oath today, there will be a more than dozen MLAs who are likely to be part of his cabinet. The probable ministers' list is below:
