Hema Malini Accident: Blame game begins; actress breaks silence, shocks all
Mumbai, July 8: Days after her return to Mumbai, actress-turned-BJP MP Hema Malini finally broke her silence about the fatal accident in which a child died.
4-year-old Sonam along with her family members was travelling in an Alto car which collided with Hema Malini's Mercedes at Dausa, Rajasthan. All passengers in both cars including the actress received injuries. Unfortunately, Sonam succumbed to her injuries.

Now, days after the accident, Hema Malini on Wednesday, July 8 broke her silence while writing on micro-blogging site Twitter. She tweeted, "My heart goes out to the child who unnecessarily lost her life and the family members who have been injured in the accident."
"How I wish the girl's father had followed the traffic rules - thn this accident could have been averted & the lil one's life safe!."
While the actress accused the father of the child of violating traffic rules, the father earlier had claimed that his child could have been saved if she was taken to hospital along with the actress.

Sonam's father Hanuman Mahajan, who too was admitted to hospital after the accident, was quoted as saying, "My little girl died in the lap of her mother in car. ...Had she (Sonam) been taken to the hospital along with Hema Malini, she would have been saved.."
He also claimed that while a doctor took Hema Malini to Fortis Hospital, his family members left bleeding in the cashed car on the road for 20-25 minutes.
