Meanwhile, Indian Meteorological Department in its weather bulletin said there is remarkable fall in maximum temperatures at a few places over Telangana.

"They were markedly below normal temperature at one or two places over Telangana. The highest maximum temperature of 42 degree Celsius was recorded at Hanmakonda and Badrachalam," it said.

Light to moderate rain or thunder showers are very likely to occur at many places over Telangana in the next five days, it added.

Heavy rains coupled with strong wind lashed capital city Hyderabad and many other places in the state during the early hours. Water entered few houses located in low level areas. Strong winds caused some of the tree branches to fall.
