‘He Wanted Me to Sleep With His Friends’: Indian Billionaire Prasanna Sankar’s Estranged Wife Speaks Out

Last month, Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar made headlines with a series of explosive social media posts accusing his wife, Dhivya Sashidhar, of infidelity. The India-born tech billionaire, whose net worth Forbes recently estimated at $1.3 billion, alleged that Sashidhar had an extramarital affair as he fought for custody of their son.

However, Sashidhar has provided a starkly different version of events-one that portrays Sankar as a controlling husband who engaged in infidelity, solicited sex workers, pressured her into accepting an open marriage, and installed hidden cameras in their home to monitor her.

Sashidhar's claims are supported by court documents, emails, text messages, and photos reviewed by The San Francisco Standard.

"Worst nightmare of my life"

Speaking to the publication, Sashidhar described her marriage as the "worst nightmare of my life." She alleged that Sankar repeatedly moved her and their 9-year-old son across countries to avoid taxes, including a relocation from California to Washington state in 2020.

According to her testimony, Sankar also pressured her into resuming sexual relations soon after childbirth, stating it was a "primal need" for men. When she declined, he reportedly told her he would seek sex elsewhere.

Emails Reveal Escort Allegations

In a December 2019 email cited by The San Francisco Standard, Sankar admitted to reaching out to sex workers and inquiring about their rates, though he claimed he did not follow through. "I'm super sorry for the stress this put on our marriage," he wrote. "I promise to never put our marriage in this position again."

On the same day, Sankar also emailed Sashidhar suggesting an open relationship-a proposal he later said was made "in a moment of anger," and which the couple mutually decided against.

Series of Moves and Alleged Control

Sashidhar, a former Microsoft employee, claimed in court that Sankar often pressured her to take leave from work for sex, threatening to find other partners if she didn't comply.

Later, the family relocated to Singapore-again against her wishes-which she says was another move to protect his assets from taxation. "Singapore was completely not in the family's plan," she told the court. "And it just felt like an abruption to everybody's life."

After being laid off in Singapore, Sashidhar said Sankar began associating with what she described as a "high-society hedonist" crowd and engaged in multiple sexual relationships.

She further testified that he encouraged her to sleep with his friends-an experience she described as "scary" and "violating."
