HC refuses to entertain petition against Amit Shah
Allahabad, May 12: Allahabad High Court today refused to entertain a petition seeking its direction to Election Commission for action against Amit Shah for his controversial remark in which he had described Azamgarh district of Uttar Pradesh as a "haven for terrorists".

A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Dhananjaya Yeshwant Chandrachud and Justice Dilip Gupta, however, said that the petitioner could approach the Election Commission with his complaint.

The petition was filed by Javed Mohd, who is convenor of Alpasankhyak Utpeedan Virodhi Qanooni Adhikar Manch, an organisation devoted to seeking legal remedy against atrocities on minorities.
