HC annoyed at failure to remove illegal speed breakers
New Delhi, Oct 10: The Delhi High Court has pulled up the road maintaining authorities here for their failure to completely remove all the speed breakers which were identified as unauthorised.
A division bench of Justice B.D. Ahmed and Justice Ashutosh Kumar was irked at the response of the civic bodies that they have not completely removed all illegal speed breakers coming up without permission, and directed all agencies to complete the process by next date of hearing on November 30.
The court was hearing two petitions filed in public interest against the unauthorised construction of speed breakers on city roads without complying with the guidelines of Indian Road Congress or the Unified Traffic and Transportation Infrastructure (Planning & Engineering) Centre.
