Have got water resources ministry, tweets Uma Bharti, deletes it later

New Delhi, May 26: BJP leader Uma Bharti Monday tweeted that she has been given the water resources and Ganga cleaning ministry.

"As a cabinet minister, have got the ministry of water resources and Ganga cleaning," Bharti tweeted minutes after she took oath as minister in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet.

Bharti, however, deleted the tweet later, realising that with the portfolio list to be officially declared, revealing the ministry could be breach of privilege, the tweet was deleted. But not before it had been noticed by the twitterati.

She then posted tweets, saying she had no knowledge about her portfolio and that a member of her staff, Rajesh Katiyar, had mistakenly put out the tweet, and that he would apologise for it.

Katiyar tweeted in Hindi, saying he had no knowledge about the portfolio given to Bharti and that he was apologising for the tweet.
