Hathras Stampede Main Accused 'Bhole Baba' Releases First Statement, Watch His Video Message Here
Days after the tragic stampede in Hathras, where over 121 people lost their lives and many were injured, the main accused, Surajpal aka 'Bhole Baba', shared a video message expressing his sorrow. He stated that he has complete faith in the law and judiciary and assured that those responsible for the chaos would face justice.
Surajpal also called on his volunteers and committee members to support the victims and families of the deceased. The saddening incident occurred on July 2, 2024, in Hathras' Faluri during a 'Satsang' event attended by over 2.5 lakh people, despite permission being granted for only 80,000 attendees.

FIR in Stampede Case:
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath took swift action by ordering an FIR against Narayan Sakar Hari aka Bhole Baba and the event organizers. Since the FIR was filed, Narayan Sakar Hari has been absconding but recently shared a video message.
The Uttar Pradesh Police have registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), including section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder), section 110 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), section 126 (2) (wrongful restraint), section 223 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant), and section 238 (causing disappearance of evidence).
"I am deeply saddened after the incident of July 2. May God give us the strength to bear this pain. Please keep faith in the government and the administration. I have faith that anyone who created the chaos would not be spared... Through my lawyer AP Singh, I have requested the members of the committee to stand with the bereaved families and the injured and help them throughout their lives," Surajpal said.
In his video message, Surajpal reiterated his sorrow over the incident and urged everyone to trust in governmental authorities. He emphasized that those who caused the chaos would not escape justice.
The stampede has left a deep impact on Hathras' community, with many still grappling with loss and injury. Authorities continue their investigation as they seek to bring those responsible to justice.
The incident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of adhering to safety protocols during large gatherings. The community's focus now remains on healing and supporting those affected by this tragedy
