Has Karnataka BJP thrown away the 2018 assembly elections already?
Yeddyurappa in an interview with OneIndia's Anusha Ravi had said that he is the CM candidate.
Has the Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party thrown away the 2018 assembly elections already? The party appears to be in disarray with a factional war breaking out yet again. This time again a section of the BJP leaders have asked for the ouster of B S Yeddyurappa, former chief minister of Karnataka and the party's state chief.

Leading the anti-Yeddyurappa is his well-known foe, K S Eshwarappa. His supporters say that they are ready to sacrifice the 2018 Karnataka assembly elections if meant shunting Yeddyurappa out. The group also held a meeting called under the banner, BJP Bachao. Most of the members who back K S Eshwarappa say that it is important that there is discipline in the party. "We do not like the way Yeddyurappa runs the party. The welfare of the party is more important, and for this we are ready to sacrifice the next elections too," the members said.
The infighting could prove costly for the party, which is making a desperate bid to come back to power. The revolters, who were silenced for some time, are back, raising demands following the embarrassing defeats the party faced in the recent by-elections in Nanjangud and Gundlupet.
The party that looked like it had rejuvenated itself to a certain extent after the top brass had ironed out differences between Yeddyurappa and Eshwarappa is back to its warring ways now. Yeddyurappa haters in the BJP have used the by-poll results as an excuse to target him. Yeddyurappa and his flock are however not giving up yet. They say that a result in the by-election is hardly the mood of the state.
