Haryana's Comprehensive Development Plans For Poor Under Khattar's Leadership
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar stated that the double-engine government is making significant decisions for comprehensive development.
This administration is focused on empowering the poor. Recently, several measures have been implemented to ensure that underprivileged families benefit directly from various schemes.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the double-engine government prioritises the poor. Eligible families have received 100-yard plots, with both documentation and possession handed over to them. Additionally, a portal has been launched for new eligible families to register and benefit from the scheme. In areas where Panchayat land is unavailable, Rs one lakh has been transferred directly into bank accounts for plot acquisition.
Khattar mentioned that during his tenure as Minister of State for Labour and Employment, various programmes were initiated to support labourers. Recently, in a state-level programme, Rs 80 crore was transferred in one click to the accounts of poor families. This initiative aims to provide immediate financial relief to those in need.
The Chief Minister also announced that solar panels would be installed at the homes of poor families under the Prime Minister's Free Solar Energy Yojana. Officers have been instructed to expedite this process. The solar panels will be connected to a net meter, allowing households to receive payment for excess electricity sent back to the department. This scheme is expected to significantly reduce electricity costs for these families.
Khattar emphasised that the next two months are crucial due to the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections. He urged workers to actively promote the government's achievements with full vigour. He also noted that workers should only present legitimate work requests to officers, who have been directed to prioritise these tasks.
During a recent event, Power Minister Ranjit Singh, former Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, former MP Sunita Duggal, and former MP Dr Ashok Tanwar were present along with other dignitaries. The Chief Minister stressed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, the country is progressing according to the Constitution. He criticised those who claim to uphold the Constitution but have historically undermined its principles.
Khattar reiterated that lies have been spread about the Constitution by certain groups. He called on workers and officials to ensure that accurate information about government initiatives reaches the public. This approach aims to counter misinformation and highlight the government's efforts towards development and welfare.
The Chief Minister's remarks reflect a commitment to transparency and accountability in governance. By focusing on direct benefits for the poor and ensuring swift implementation of schemes, the government aims to foster trust among citizens. The emphasis on solar energy also aligns with broader environmental goals while providing economic relief.
Overall, these initiatives demonstrate a concerted effort by the Haryana government to address poverty and improve living standards through targeted interventions and efficient administration.
