Haryana Violence: Internet Services Suspended In Nuh District Amid Mamman Khan's Arrest
Conviction of Congress MLA Mamman Khan over alleged involvement in Nuh violence that took place on July 31 has led to the suspension of internet services in the area from Friday 10 am to Saturday 11:59 pm.
The internet services in Nuh has been suspended to reduce tension and agitation in the area and ensure public peace and tranquility in the district.

Apart from the internet suspension, the district administration has also imposed Section 144 in the area. People are requested to offer their Friday prayers from their homes.
The intenet suspension order stated "In order to stop the spread of misinformation and rumours through various social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter etc, on mobile phones and SMA, for facilation and mobilisation of mobs or agitators and demonstrators who can cause serious loss of life and damage to public and private properties by indulging in arson, vandalism and other type of violent activities."

The order further read "It is emphasized that this order is being issued after taking utmost care of public convenience by exempting individual SMS, mobile recharge, banking SMS, voice calls, internet services provided by broadband and lease lines of corporate and domestic households, thus not affecting the commercial/financial interest of the State and basic domestic needs of individuals...this order is being passed ex-parte in view of the emergent situation."
Congress MLA Mamman Khan was arrested by the Haryana Police on Thursday over his alleged involvement in the Nuh violence that took place on July 31. A violence that killed several people leaving many persons injured. The violence affected several districts of Haryana including Gurugram, after a VHP procession was attacked by Muslims.
