Haryana Staff Selection Commission Opens 6000 Constable Positions for Youth
Haryana's youth eagerly awaiting police recruitment have reason to celebrate. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced the recruitment of 6000 police constables. The deadline for submitting applications is 8th July. Those who previously applied do not need to reapply.
According to HSSC, the recruitment will include 1000 positions for women and 5000 for men. Candidates must have completed their 12th grade and be between 18 and 25 years old. Those who previously applied and have since aged out are still eligible without needing to pay any fees.

After passing the Physical Measurement Test (PMT), candidates must complete a Physical Screening Test. Male candidates must run 2.5 kilometers in 12 minutes, while female candidates need to run 1 kilometer in 6 minutes. Ex-Servicemen are required to complete a 1-kilometer race in 5 minutes.
The knowledge test will account for 94.5% of the total marks, with each question worth 0.945 marks out of a total of 100 marks. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
The exam paper will include questions on General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Numerical Aptitude among other subjects. Additionally, candidates will receive 10% of the marks for basic computer knowledge and 20% for basic knowledge of Haryana.
HSSC has clarified that those who had already applied for the recruitment process earlier do not need to submit a new application. This decision aims to streamline the process and avoid redundancy.
For those interested in applying, it is crucial to meet the educational and age requirements specified by HSSC. The commission has set clear guidelines to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process.
This recruitment drive is a significant opportunity for Haryana's youth to join the police force and serve their community. With a substantial number of positions available, both male and female candidates have ample opportunities to secure a job in law enforcement.
The HSSC's decision to waive application fees for those who previously applied but have since become overage is a considerate move. It ensures that all eligible candidates have an equal chance to participate in the recruitment process.
The inclusion of physical fitness tests ensures that only candidates who meet the required physical standards are selected. This is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the police force.
The comprehensive nature of the knowledge test, covering various subjects, ensures that selected candidates possess a well-rounded understanding necessary for police duties. The additional marks for computer knowledge and local knowledge further enhance the selection criteria.
This recruitment initiative by HSSC reflects its commitment to strengthening Haryana's police force with capable and qualified individuals. It provides a structured pathway for aspiring constables to achieve their career goals.
The deadline for applications is approaching quickly, so interested candidates should ensure they meet all requirements and submit their applications promptly. This opportunity could be a stepping stone towards a fulfilling career in law enforcement.
