Haryana: Model Found Dead In Sonipat; Investigation Underway

A model and Instagram influencer named Sheetal, also known as Simmi Choudhary, was found dead in Haryana's Sonipat on Monday. Her body was discovered near Khanda village in the Reliance Canal. Authorities suspect that her throat was slit by unidentified assailants before disposing of her body. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for postmortem examination.

Sheetal had worked in the Haryanvi music industry. Her sister Neha had filed a missing person's report at Matlauda police station when Sheetal did not return home after a music video shoot in Aahar village on June 14. Following this complaint, the police registered a missing person's case.

Police Investigation Underway

The Sonipat police are conducting an intensive investigation into this murder case. A team from Madlauda police station in Panipat has been dispatched to Sonipat to aid in the probe. Officers are working diligently to identify those responsible and uncover the motive behind this heinous act.

DSP Rajbir Singh confirmed that Sheetal has been murdered. The case has sent shockwaves through the regional entertainment industry, raising significant concerns about the safety of artists involved in such projects.

According to ANI reports, Ajit Singh, ACP Headquarters Sonipat, stated: "We received information about the presence of the body of a woman in a canal. Police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. In the process of identifying the body, it was found that a missing report for a woman, Sheetal, had been filed in Panipat. The police are undertaking further actions."
