Haryana Introduces New Welfare Schemes To Support Poor Families

Haryana Health and Civil Aviation Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta announced that the Haryana Government is rolling out new public welfare schemes to elevate poor families above the poverty line. These initiatives aim to enable these families to contribute significantly to national development.

Dr. Kamal Gupta addressed eligible families of various government schemes during a district-level event in Hisar on Sunday.

New Welfare Schemes in Haryana for the Poor

He highlighted that both Central and State Governments have launched numerous schemes such as Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Happy Card Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri and Chief Minister Gram Awas Yojana to improve the living standards of the poor.

During the event, Dr. Gupta distributed authority certificates to 872 eligible families under Dr. BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana, 800 families under the Chief Minister Grameen Awas Yojana, and 6808 individuals under various social security pension schemes. He mentioned that pensions for these 6808 eligible individuals were processed in June, and they will start receiving their pension amounts from July.

Under Dr. BR Ambedkar Awas Navinikaran Yojana, approximately Rs 7 crore has been deposited into the bank accounts of all 872 families in the district. Each eligible family received Rs 80,000 for house renovations.

Additionally, Rs 1 lakh has been directly deposited into the bank accounts of 800 families under the Chief Minister Grameen Awas Yojana to facilitate plot purchases. This financial assistance aims to help these families secure better housing conditions.

Dr. Gupta emphasised that these schemes are designed to uplift poor families and improve their quality of life. By taking advantage of these initiatives, beneficiaries can play a more active role in the nation's progress.

The Haryana Government's efforts reflect a commitment to social welfare and poverty alleviation through targeted financial support and development programs.

The event underscored the government's dedication to ensuring that welfare benefits reach those in need, thereby fostering inclusive growth and development across the state.

These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to enhance social security and provide essential resources to underprivileged communities in Haryana.

The focus on housing and social security pensions highlights the government's approach to addressing fundamental needs and promoting economic stability among poorer sections of society.

The distribution of funds and certificates at the Hisar event marks a significant step towards achieving these goals, demonstrating tangible support for eligible families.

Overall, these measures aim to create a more equitable society where every individual has the opportunity to thrive and contribute to national development.
