Uniform Implementation Across Categories

According to an official statement, Health Minister Vij emphasized the importance of implementing uniforms for employees in various categories across all government hospitals and health institutions in Haryana. This initiative aims to create a cohesive and professional environment within healthcare facilities, fostering a sense of unity and discipline among the staff.

Dress Code Regulations

Last year, Minister Vij had introduced a dress code for healthcare professionals, prohibiting certain fashion choices such as funky hairstyles, excessive makeup, long nails, denim clothing, T-shirts, and skirts. The rationale behind this dress code is to maintain a professional atmosphere in healthcare centers, ensuring that employees adhere to appropriate conduct and uphold the organization's reputation.

NABL Labs for High-Quality Testing

During the meeting, Minister Vij also expressed his desire to establish National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) labs in all hospitals with more than 100 beds. These labs would provide high-quality testing facilities for the benefit of the public, ensuring accurate and reliable diagnostic services.

Emphasis on Quality Instruments

Recognizing the importance of well-equipped laboratories, Minister Vij stressed the need for high-quality instruments to facilitate the work of technicians. This investment in advanced technology aims to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of laboratory procedures, ultimately leading to better patient care.

Addressing Association Demands

Representatives from various associations related to the health department, including the HCMS Association, Haryana Civil Dental Surgeon Association, and Nursing Welfare Association, attended the meeting. Minister Vij assured them that efforts would be made to address their demands concerning specialist cadre, promotions, and various allowances. Discussions with stakeholders would be held to find suitable solutions and address these concerns.

Attendees and Officials

The meeting was attended by key officials, including Additional Chief Secretary of the Health and Family Welfare Department G Anupama, Director-General of Health Services R S Poonia, and other senior officials. Their presence ensured a comprehensive discussion and decision-making process.

The implementation of uniforms for employees in Haryana's government hospitals and health institutions marks a significant step towards maintaining professionalism and fostering a cohesive work environment. Additionally, the focus on establishing NABL labs and providing high-quality instruments demonstrates the government's commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the people of Haryana.
