Haryana News: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Arrive on the Sacred Land of Kurukshetra Today

The Haryana Government hosts a grand congregation for the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, featuring PM Modi's participation and the inauguration of Anubhav Kendra. The event highlights the significance of Kurukshetra in preserving spiritual heritage.

The Haryana Government is organizing a grand state-level congregation today at Jyotisar (Kurukshetra) on the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Day of Hind ki Chadar Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kurukshetra to seek the blessings of Guru Sahib. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, along with other ministers and dignitaries, will also be present.

Participation in the state-level congregation dedicated to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Inauguration of the Mahabharata-themed Anubhav Kendra at Jyotisar. Unveiling of Lord Krishna’s divine conch Panchjanya. Participation in the grand Maha Aarti at Brahma Sarovar during the International Gita Mahotsav.

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji sacrificed his life to protect dharma against the atrocities of Aurangzeb. His disciples—Bhai Dayala Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, and Bhai Mati Das Ji—also made unparalleled sacrifices. Kurukshetra holds special significance as eight Guru Sahibs graced this sacred land. Haryana is home to nearly 28 historic Gurdwaras preserving the Gurus’ memories. Since November 1, 2025, several programmes and spiritual yatras have been organized across the state to spread the Guru’s teachings.

PM to Inaugurate Jyotisar Anubhav Kendra

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Anubhav Kendra, developed under the Ministry of Tourism’s Swadesh Darshan scheme. Built at a cost of approximately ₹200 crore, the centre offers a unique Mahabharata-themed experience, blending history, philosophy, and science with modern technology. The complex also houses the Panchjanya Memorial, honouring Lord Krishna’s divine conch. The massive conch weighs around 5–5.5 tonnes and stands 4–5 meters tall, symbolizing the victory of righteousness and truth.

International Gita Mahotsav

During the International Gita Mahotsav, Prime Minister Modi will join the Maha Aarti at the holy Brahma Sarovar. The festival, celebrating the eternal wisdom of the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, attracts millions of devotees and tourists annually. Scholars, artists, and spiritual seekers from across India and abroad gather to share the Gita’s message of knowledge and karma.

The Maha Aarti, performed amidst glowing lamps, resonant Vedic chants, and waves of devotion at Brahma Sarovar, further glorifies India’s spiritual heritage and strengthens Kurukshetra’s global identity.
