In a significant announcement, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar revealed that over 60,000 government jobs are in the pipeline for the state. Addressing the Winter session of the assembly, Khattar emphasized the state government's commitment to providing employment opportunities in a transparent and merit-based manner.
A Holistic Approach to Governance

Khattar highlighted his government's holistic approach to governance, prioritizing citizen empowerment through employment generation, transparent systems, and a robust education framework. He underscored the importance of creating an environment that fosters growth and development for all citizens of Haryana.
Addressing Corruption Allegations
During the assembly session, senior Congress MLA RS Kadian raised concerns about a two-year-old case involving an official of the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) who was arrested for allegedly accepting bribes to manipulate marks for dental surgeon recruitment. Kadian urged the chief minister to investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate action.
In response, Khattar displayed a pocket-sized copy of the Srimad Bhagavad-Gita and vowed to take strict action against any officer found involved in corrupt practices related to the HPSC recruitment process. He asserted that immediate dismissal would be the consequence for any such actions, emphasizing the government's zero-tolerance policy towards corruption.
Employment Generation Initiatives
On the employment front, Khattar shared details of the state government's achievements. He stated that the BJP-led government has made approximately 11,500 recruitments for Group A and Group B posts, along with 1,06,000 (1.06 lakh) recruitments for Group C and Group D posts. Additionally, advertisements have been released for 3,200 Group A and Group B posts, while around 61,000 for Group C and Group D are in the pipeline.
Khattar asserted that a total of 1,67,000 (1.67 lakh) recruitments will be made during the tenure of his government. He also dismissed the opposition's claims regarding the state's unemployment figures, stating that they are devoid of facts.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's announcements regarding government jobs and his commitment to combating corruption have been met with mixed reactions. While some have lauded his efforts to provide employment opportunities and ensure transparency, others have called for more concrete measures to address unemployment and systemic issues within the recruitment process. As the state moves forward, it remains to be seen how effectively the government will address these challenges and deliver on its promises.
