In 2012 and 2013, Rishu had won bronze medals in Bhivani and Faridabad. In December 2014, she represented Haryana at the National Games in Gwalior.

Due to acute poverty, Rishu cannot even afford to feed herself with the required nutrition and diet, that is needed to maintain a healthy body for sports-persons.

However, the young girl is full of determination and dedicates her time in practicing boxing in morning and evening.

Rishu's parents reportedly passed away and she stays with her brother, who works at a shop in Kaithal. She has to struggle for paying school fees for her education.

Rishu, who inspires five-time World Boxing champion Mary Kom, has given credit of success in boxing to her coach Rajinder Singh.

Haryana is known to be the state that has produced largest number of sportswomen.

A state that holds a prestigious glory of giving maximum women sportspersons to the nation, it is indeed shocking to see a budding sports-person in such a pitiable condition.
