Haryana district administration seals Titoli village in Rohtak after 28 mysterious deaths
Rohtak, May 06: In a recent development, Titoli village in Rohtak district of Haryana has been sealed by the district administration. The move comes two days after 28 mysterious deaths were reported from the village.
On May 5, the entire village was declared a containment zone to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in neighbouring villages.
According to reports, over two dozen people including the young died after having fever for two days in the village.

The reports further stated that the deaths have caused panic in the village. It is suspected that the deaths were caused by COVID-19.
After declaring Titoli village as a containment zone, the district administration has sealed the entry and exit points of the village.
Meanwhile, police have been deployed at the entry points of the village to enforce COVID guidelines.
21 people were tested positive on Wednesday from the 80 samples taken from the affected village. On Tuesday, 42 samples were taken of which nine people were tested positive. Rohtak Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) visited the Titoli village and assessed the situation on the ground.

"The village has been declared a containment zone. Since 25 per cent of those tested were COVID positive, we have will do testing and vaccination on a mass scale," the report quoted SDM Rakesh Saini as saying.
