Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini criticises the Aam Aadmi Party for failing to fulfil promises in Punjab. He expresses confidence that the BJP will succeed in the upcoming elections, contrasting Haryana's welfare measures with AAP's alleged mismanagement.

Saini highlighted the close relationship between Punjab and Haryana, comparing it to "nail and flesh." He expressed concern over Punjab's condition under AAP's rule. He contrasted Haryana's welfare initiatives, such as the Lado Lakshmi Yojana providing Rs 2,100 monthly to eligible women and procuring 24 crops at minimum support price (MSP), with AAP's unfulfilled promises of Rs 1,000 to women and crop purchases at MSP.

Punjab's Current State Under AAP

The Chief Minister accused AAP of corruption, alleging that the party led by Arvind Kejriwal has outdone Congress in graft. "People see through the AAP's tactics," he said, reiterating his belief that BJP will gain power after the 2027 polls. Saini described the rally as a message of change, stating, "Punjab is the soul of India, a guardian of the nation's borders, the voice of the Gurus and the identity of courage."

Saini criticised AAP for failing to deliver on its promises over four years. He accused them of misleading the public with false assurances. "Kejriwal and his leaders used to call themselves the epitome of honesty, but their true face has been exposed before the entire nation," he remarked. He noted that several AAP leaders, including Kejriwal, have faced jail time.

Drug Abuse Concerns

Saini alleged that instead of addressing drug abuse, AAP has allowed it to proliferate. He promised that when BJP forms the government in Punjab in 2027, strict measures will be taken against those involved in drug-related activities and gangster culture will be eradicated. He emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to development-focused politics.

During Saini's journey to the rally venue, AAP workers protested by showing black flags and chanting slogans against him near Jawaddi and Shimlapuri. Leading this protest was AAP MLA from Atam Nagar Kulwant Singh Sidhu. Sidhu told reporters they were protesting because "the BJP has always adopted an anti-Punjab stance." He accused them of withholding funds meant for Punjab's health, education, and development while misleading people.

Political Tensions Rise

Saini later commented that if AAP had fulfilled its promises, their workers wouldn't need to block his path. He accused AAP of engaging in petty politics, reflecting a poor mentality. Punjab BJP general secretary Anil Sareen condemned the protest against Saini as a sign of frustration from AAP. "The AAP has already accepted defeat in the 2027 elections," Sareen stated.

Sareen warned that if AAP leaders continue such protests, BJP workers will retaliate wherever Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal travel in the state. This ongoing political tension highlights deep divisions between parties as they prepare for future electoral battles.
