Vocal for local: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini backs Swadeshi at Nangal event

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said "vocal for local" is a nation-building movement, urging people to prioritise local products to support artisans and small entrepreneurs. Speaking at the Swadeshi Mela and Youth Conference in Nangal, Punjab, he described Swadeshi as an economic philosophy and paid tribute to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev on Shaheed Diwas.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said on Monday that "vocal for local\" should be seen as a nation-building drive. Nayab Singh Saini said choosing local goods supports the country’s economy. Nayab Singh Saini added that it also gives steadier livelihoods to artisans and small business owners.

Speaking at the Swadeshi Mela and Youth Conference in Nangal, Punjab, Nayab Singh Saini linked Swadeshi with self-reliance. Nayab Singh Saini said, \"The principle of Swadeshi empowers individuals to stand on their own feet.\" Nayab Singh Saini also said, \"Swadeshi is not just a word but an economic philosophy,\" while addressing the gathering.

Swadeshi and vocal for local message at Nangal event

Nayab Singh Saini urged young people at the programme to take a shared pledge. The pledge included adopting Swadeshi, opposing drug abuse, and helping national development. Nayab Singh Saini said Shaheedi Diwas motivates steady work for unity, integrity, and prosperity across the nation.

Nayab Singh Saini also warned youth about the blind rush to go abroad. Nayab Singh Saini cautioned against illegal and risky routes to reach foreign countries. Nayab Singh Saini placed this message alongside the call for local choices. Nayab Singh Saini said local spending can build stronger communities at home.

Shaheed Diwas and vocal for local tribute to martyrs

During the event, Nayab Singh Saini paid homage to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Nayab Singh Saini said the sacrifice of these leaders raised the nation’s pride. Nayab Singh Saini referred to Shaheed Diwas as a time of remembrance. The day is also observed as Martyrs Day.

On March 23, 1931, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were hanged in Lahore Jail. British authorities carried out the executions after convictions in the John Saunders case. John Saunders was a police officer. Nayab Singh Saini recalled this history while speaking at the gathering in Nangal.

Haryana display and vocal for local focus at Swadeshi Mela

Nayab Singh Saini highlighted Haryana’s presence at the fair in Nangal. Nayab Singh Saini said displays include cultural heritage and tourism. The presentation also covers environmental conservation work. Nayab Singh Saini added that dairy products are among the main attractions, showing the state’s progress and prosperity.

Nayab Singh Saini said the fair’s message links daily buying decisions with the wider economy. Nayab Singh Saini presented Swadeshi as more than a slogan. The comments were made while engaging with youth and visitors. Nayab Singh Saini connected local purchases, public health concerns, and national goals at one forum.
