After 4 days of silence, Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday said that these incidents of rape in the state are sad and deplorable.

Congress demands Khattar 's resignation over crimes against woman

''Such incidents are unfortunate. We'll take strict action & tie up all loose ends. We have made changes in the police administration & transferred a few officers. I appeal political parties to not politicise the issue,'' Khattar said while speaking to ANI.

''We started 'Dial 100 Project', will also begin '1090 Project' so women in danger can immediately contact police. We'll look into matters, take help of counseling or legal action as the need be. We've set up special courts for speedy trials of such cases,'' Khattar further said.

Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday met Governor for dismissal of Khattar Government on the issue of law and order. The Congress state unit also demanded Khattar's resignation over an increase in the number of rape cases in the state.

Recalling the three very gruesome cases reported in a matter of days:

The body of a 15-year-old girl with her private parts mutilated and liver ruptured was found near Budhakhera village in Haryana's Jind district.

Four men allegedly raped a 22-year old woman inside a moving vehicle in Faridabad's Sector 16 on Saturday, 13 January.

Two neighbours allegedly gang-raped and murdered an 11-year-old in Panipat, also committing necrophilia soon after.

These are the three rape cases from across the state which has shed light on the poor state of women's security in the country, and Haryana in particular.
