The video of the incident is doing round the internet, which shows, two assailants with guns knocking the door of the car and then dragging the businessman out, who was wearing an orange color hoodie.

However, the businessman tried to wrestle with the attackers, pulled down one, but the second attacker knocked him down and fired several rounds of bullets.

Soon after the incident, the dhaba owner informed the police.

"The police had received information on the phone and when the police reached the spot, it found around 30 to 35 rounds were fired," Gaurav Rajpurohit, an investigating officer said.

He added that "a crime team comprising 7-8 members has been formed to investigate the matter. CCTV footage is also being monitored. The deceased was a liquor trader..."

The police have junked the gang war angle and launched a probe to discover the reason behind the attack.

Earlier, on February 26, the INLD Haryana chief was shot dead by unidentified gunmen who ambushed his SUV in the Jhajjar district.

Gulshan Dhaba is a popular eatery near the Sonipat highway, which is usually full of customers.
