Haryana Assembly Elections: JJP's Dushyant Chautala Says Bhupinder Hooda 'Fears' BJP

Former Haryana Deputy Chief Minister and Jannayak Janta Party leader (JJP) Dushyant Chautala levelled a series of allegations against the Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda regarding the Rajya Sabha elections.

He alleged that Hooda is afraid of going to jail and fears that the BJP government might send him to prison.

"That is why he did not field any candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections, even though he had 31 MLAs," he said.

Chautala spoke today while speaking to journalists after a meeting with party workers at the district headquarters in Jind.

He also accused Hooda of being somehow aligned with the BJP, stating, "We couldn't even file the nomination for the election as it required the support of 10 MLAs."

Chautala denied any alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and claimed that their alliance is with the Congress.

He also commented on the MLAs who have left the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP), saying that they were already attending BJP rallies during the Lok Sabha elections and that MLA Ramkaran Kala's two sons had also joined Congress during the Lok Sabha elections.

Regarding ticket announcements, he said that a decision would be made by calling a committee meeting by September 1. The former DyCM is on a two-day tour of the Uchana constituency.
