Harshita Dahiya killed by my husband, claims sister

Harshita Dahiya was shot when she was on her way back home in a car at around 4 PM after her performance at a function in the village, police said.

Sister of a Haryanvi singer, who was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Chamrara village, claimed that the singer was killed by her brother-in-law.

Lata, the sister of Haryanvi singer Harshita Dahiya, said: " "She was killed by my husband because she was a witness in my mother's murder case."

A 22-year-old Harshita Dahiya was shot dead by unidentified assailants at Chamrara village in Haryana's Panipat district on Tuesday evening.

Dahiya was shot when she was on her way back home in a car at around 4 PM after her performance at a function in the village, police said.

Desh Raj , Panipat DSP said that a team has been formed and investigation is underway, reported ANI.

"Postmortem is going on. We will slowly get to the bottom of it," he said.
