Yadav emphasized that those responsible for the incident will face exemplary punishment that will serve as a deterrent to such negligence.

Government Forms Probe Committee, Transfers Officials

To ensure a thorough investigation into the incident, the Madhya Pradesh government has constituted a three-member committee headed by Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Dubey. The committee will conduct a detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding the blast and submit its findings. Additionally, the government has transferred Harda Collector Rishi Garg and Superintendent of Police SP Sanjeev Kanchan, underscoring its seriousness in addressing the matter.

Rescue Operations Conclude, Arrests Made

The first phase of the rescue operation has been completed, according to Divisional Commissioner Narmadapuram Pawan Sharma. Three individuals, including two factory owners, have been arrested and charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other offenses. The arrested individuals were presented before a chief judicial magistrate court, which remanded two of them to judicial custody while the third was sent to police remand.

Opposition Raises Concerns, Demands SIT Probe

The opposition Congress party has raised concerns regarding the accuracy of the official death toll, alleging that the Madhya Pradesh government is attempting to conceal the true extent of the tragedy. Madhya Pradesh Congress president Jitu Patwari asserted that the actual number of casualties exceeds the official figures and called for a probe by a Special Investigation Team to uncover the truth.
