Handwara: Heavy gunbattle between security forces and LeT militants

Handwara, Dec 1: In yet another breach of trust by Pakistan, 3

exchanged heavy gun battle with the Indian joint forces.

A search operation has been conducted in the area. According to official reports, the battle started at 3 pm when the joint forces traced movements of militants.

Per the intensity of the gunbattle, it is evident that the militants were heavily armed with latest weapons, rifles etc.

It is believed that the intention of the militants was to reach the civilian areas in Handwara or strike the security posts. The identity of the militants is yet to be ascertained.
