Hamirpur students take out procession, demand shifting of NIT
Hamirpur, Apr 13: Students of National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur today took out a procession to express solidarity with NIT Srinagar students.
Waiving National flag, hundreds of students came out on roads to express their anger over the incidents at NIT Srinagar and demanded shifting of NIT to Jammu.

They held a demonstration at the Anu chowk and thereafter the Gandhi chowk and asked the central government to provide protection to the students of NIT, Srinagar who were being "tortured" for no fault of theirs. A spokesman of the students said that their demand of shifting of Srinagar NIT to Jammu was justified as students were not safe at Srinagar due to divisive activities of a section of people there.
