Hajin attack: Lashkar claims responsibility
The Lashkar-e-Tayiba has claimed responsibility for the Hajin attack in north Kashmir. Terrorists had opened fire on an army camp in Hajin in Bandipora district.

The army retaliated which led to an exchange of fire. Around six terrorists came from two sides of the army camp of the 13 Rashtriya Rifles and fired around 8 rounds of UBGLs. The fire was retaliated "heavily and effectively", a senior police officer said, adding that it was not a suicide attack.
The spokesperson of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba Dr Abddullah Ghaznavi said that the outfit carried out the fedayeen attack on the Army camp in Hajin. He also made an unsubstantiated claim stating that three Army personnel were killed and several injured in the attack.
