H’yana min compares Cong to kuttey, Modi to sher, predicts BJP’s win in Gujarat polls

Haryana Minister Anil Vij ended up comparing the Congress and its allies to kuttey (dogs) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sher (tiger).

Chandigarh, Nov 6: Controversial Haryana Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) minister Anil Vij, known for his hate speech, does it again by using unparliamentary language to target the Opposition.

This time in regard to the upcoming Gujarat Assembly elections, Vij ended up comparing the Congress and its allies to kuttey (dogs) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to a sher (tiger). On Sunday, Vij also predicted that the ruling BJP will win the Gujarat elections scheduled on December 9 and 18.

"There is an old saying that even 100 dogs together can't compete with a tiger. Modi is a tiger. In Gujarat, the BJP will win. (Purani kahavat hai-100 kuttey mil kar bhi ek sher ka muqabla nhi kar skte, Modi sher hai. Gujarat mein BJP jeetegi)," Vij was quoted as saying by ANI.

The BJP leader said the alliance being stitched up by the opposition parties and other groups in Gujarat cannot defeat the BJP in the assembly polls in the western state next month.

The "Modi wave" continues in the country and the saffron party will form the government again in that state, he added. The health minister lashed out at Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala for comparing Modi to the whimsical 14th-Century monarch Muhammad Bin Tughlak.

Talking to media persons in Ambala, he said Surjewala was a "liar". He accused Congress leaders of always leveling false allegations to divert the attention of people.

Modi has become the symbol of progress and now the India is being recognised throughout the world because of the prime minister, Vij said.

Last month, when the Taj Mahal controversy was at its peak, Vij said the Taj Mahal was a "khoobsurat kabristan," or a "beautiful graveyard".

"Taj Mahal ek khoobsurat kabristan hai. Yahi kaaran hai ki isko ashubh maante huye iska model log apne gharon men nahi rakhte hain (The Taj Mahal is a beautiful graveyard. This is why it is considered inauspicious, and why people don't keep a model of it in their homes)," ANI quoted Vij as saying.
