‘H Files’ Explosive Claim: Rahul Gandhi Claims Brazilian Model’s Photo Used 22 Times in Haryana Voter List

Rahul Gandhi has accused the Election Commission of aiding the BJP in manipulating the Haryana assembly elections. He presented a photograph of a Brazilian model, claiming her image appeared 22 times under various names like Seema and Sweety at different polling booths. Gandhi alleged this was part of a "centralised operation" to alter the election results.

Allegations of Electoral Fraud

Gandhi claimed that Congress would have won the Haryana elections if not for widespread electoral fraud. He stated that 25 lakh fake or invalid voters were listed in Haryana, which has about two crore voters. This includes 5.21 lakh duplicate voters and 93,174 invalid voters, according to him.

The Congress leader highlighted that the party lost by just 22,000 votes, describing it as a "theft of democracy." He cited an instance where a single photo was used for 223 votes, using the Brazilian model's stock image as evidence. Gandhi questioned the integrity of the democratic process in India.

Response from Election Commission

As Gandhi's press conference unfolded, the Election Commission dismissed his allegations. Officials noted there had been no appeals against electoral rolls in Haryana. They questioned why Congress polling agents did not object at booths if they suspected false voting. "What were the agents of Congress doing at the polling stations?" an EC official asked.

The official also challenged Gandhi's stance on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. The SIR process removes duplicate and invalid voters while verifying citizenship. The official asked if Gandhi now supports this process or continues to oppose it.

Previous Accusations and Reactions

This marks Gandhi's third press conference on alleged voter manipulation. In earlier ones, he accused the EC of mass voter deletions and additions. He promised to reveal what he termed as a "hydrogen bomb" of proof regarding "vote chori." Despite these claims, no substantial evidence has been presented to support them.

Gandhi also mentioned Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini, noting his smile and comments about 'vyavastha' after the election when many believed Congress was winning. This remark aimed to highlight perceived complacency or complicity in alleged electoral misconduct.
