Gurugram Attack: Woman Injured by Bike-Borne Shooters, Four Held
A shocking incident unfolded in Dwarka expressway, where a 35-year-old woman, identified as Pallavi Sharma, a beautician by profession, was critically injured after being shot by two assailants on a motorcycle. The attack occurred at 9.20 pm on Friday near a petrol pump, as Sharma was running errands on her scooty, according to the police. Currently, she remains unconscious in a private hospital following the grievous injury.

The police have arrested four individuals in connection with the shooting, including Nitish Bhardwaj, a lawyer who is said to be the prime accused, along with two individuals identified as the shooters. Bhardwaj, who resides in Vishnu Garden, had reportedly come into contact with Sharma over an assault case she filed against her husband. Sharma has been living in the Riddhi-Siddhi Society in sector 102 for the past 13 years with her two sons, aged 12 and seven, after separating from her husband in Chandigarh.
Bhardwaj disclosed to the police that his relationship with Sharma evolved from professional to personal. However, he claimed that Sharma later started harassing him, which led him to plot her murder. A previous attempt to orchestrate an accident to kill Sharma was unsuccessful, Bhardwaj admitted.
For the execution of his plan this time, Bhardwaj enlisted Gulshan, whom he met through a friend. Gulshan then provided a motorcycle and weapons to Raja and Bunty, who carried out the attack. As Sharma neared the petrol pump on her scooty, Raja and Bunty approached from behind, and Raja fired the shot that critically injured her.
The bullet hit Sharma's waist and exited through her stomach, causing her to fall from her scooty. The assailants fled immediately after the shooting. Gulshan was reportedly observing the incident from a distance in a van. Following the attack, some cab drivers present at the scene rushed Sharma to a nearby private hospital.
Rajkumar Sharma, Pallavi's father, was informed about the incident by the police and immediately reached the hospital. He stated that he was unaware of any rivalry involving his daughter and is anxiously waiting for her to regain consciousness for more information.
In response to Rajkumar's complaint, an FIR has been registered under sections 307 (murder attempt), 34 (common intention) of the IPC, and under the arms act at Rajendra Park police station. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to this violent attack.
This incident has raised concerns about safety in the area and has left the local community in shock. The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward as they continue their investigation into this deliberate act of violence.
