Tragic Collision on Delhi-Jaipur Highway Claims Young Life in Gurugram

In a tragic incident on the Delhi-Jaipur highway early Monday morning, an 11-year-old boy lost his life while his mother and another relative sustained serious injuries following a collision between their car and a bus. The accident occurred near Panchgaon Chowk around 5.10 am as the family was returning from Khatu Shyam, according to police reports.

Young Life Lost in Gurugram Crash

The young victim was identified as Bhavya Poswal, also known as Aryan, hailing from Gautam Buddh Nagar in Uttar Pradesh. The bus driver involved in the mishap reportedly fled the scene immediately after the accident. Consequently, an FIR has been lodged against him at the Manesar Police Station for rash driving and causing death due to negligence.

Ravinder Kumar, Bhavya's father, recounted the harrowing moments leading up to the accident. He explained that their car was hit from the left side by a bus speeding from behind just as they were approaching Panchgaon Chowk. The impact caused their car to lose balance, hit the divider, and overturn. "In the accident, my son Bhavya, my wife Mamta, and sister-in-law were injured badly," Kumar stated. Despite rushing them to a nearby hospital, Bhavya was declared dead by the doctors.

Following Kumar's complaint, authorities have initiated a search for the absconding bus driver. The police have registered an FIR under sections 279 (rash driving) and 304-A (death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Manesar police station. "We handed over the body to the kin after the postmortem and are trying to nab the accused bus driver," said a senior police officer involved in the investigation.

This incident has once again highlighted the dangers lurking on highways and raised questions about road safety measures in place to prevent such fatal accidents. The authorities are urged to take stringent actions against those violating traffic rules to ensure the safety of travelers on highways.
