Gurugram Road Rage Caught On Camera: Scorpio Driver Runs Over Swiggy Rider Multiple Times

A Swiggy delivery rider was critically injured in a shocking case of road rage in Gurugram after a man driving a Scorpio allegedly ran him over deliberately.

The horrifying incident took place in the Manesar area and was captured on CCTV cameras and mobile phones of other delivery executives present at the spot.

How the confrontation unfolded in Sector 93

According to police, the incident occurred when five to six Swiggy riders were waiting near a roadside eatery pickup point in Sector 93. CCTV footage shows a black Scorpio hitting a parked motorcycle belonging to a delivery rider identified as Tinku before speeding away. Within moments, the SUV returned and swerved dangerously towards the group, attempting to hit the riders standing nearby.

The vehicle struck the same motorcycle again and fled, the footage revealed. The repeated act triggered anger among the riders, prompting Tinku to confront the driver.

"What are you doing, brother?" rider questions driver

Police said Tinku shouted at the driver, asking, "What are you doing, brother?" during the confrontation. The exchange allegedly enraged the Scorpio driver, who then turned the vehicle around and accelerated towards the rider.

Eyewitness videos show the SUV charging straight at Tinku, running him over as he stood near the pickup point. The vehicle then reversed and moved forward again, allegedly crushing him a second time before fleeing the scene. Other delivery riders narrowly escaped being hit during the rampage.

Rider suffers critical injuries, shifted to Rewari hospital

Tinku sustained serious injuries to his head, chest and legs in the attack. Police reached the location after receiving an alert and rushed the injured rider to the Civil Hospital in Gurugram. Due to the severity of his condition, his family later shifted him to a hospital in Rewari for advanced treatment.

Scorpio seized, owner identified as accused

Using CCTV footage and vehicle registration details, Gurugram Police traced and seized the Scorpio involved in the incident. Preliminary investigation revealed that the SUV is registered in the name of Dr Naveen Yadav. Police said he was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
