Police Blunder: Body Overlooked in Gurugram Hotel Murder Case
Gurugram police made a critical error in a murder investigation at Hotel City Point. Despite receiving a call about a murder, they checked room 114 but failed to discover the victims body in room 111. The victim, Divya Pahuja, was allegedly shot dead by five individuals at the hotel.
In a shocking turn of events, the Gurugram Police have uncovered new details in the murder case of former model Divya Pahuja, who was found dead in a Gurugram hotel on Tuesday. Despite initial oversights, the police have now formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the case and have made several arrests.
Sequence of Events
According to police sources, Divya Pahuja was taken to Hotel City Point on Tuesday by five individuals and allegedly shot dead inside room number 111. However, due to a miscommunication, the police initially checked room number 114 and missed the body. It was only after receiving a second call that the police discovered Divya's body.
Main Accused Reveals Details
The main accused in the case, hotel owner Abhijit Singh, has revealed that Divya was shot dead in the hotel at 5 pm on Tuesday. He sought help from Anup, to whom the hotel was leased, but Anup informed the police about the murder at 9 pm. Despite this, the police initially failed to locate the body.
Disposal of the Body
Taking advantage of the situation, Abhijit sought help from his friends Balraj Gill and Ravi Bandra to dispose of the body. CCTV footage shows Abhijit fleeing the hotel in a blue BMW car with Divya's body in the boot. The car was later found abandoned at a bus stand in Punjab's Patiala, but the victim's body remains missing.
Arrests and Investigation
So far, the police have arrested Abhijit, Hemraj, and Omprakash in connection with the case, while two others, including Gill, are still at large. The investigation is being conducted from three angles: blackmail, the involvement of gangster Gadoli's family, and the role of Virendra Kumar alias Binder Gujjar, who allegedly conspired with Haryana Police officials to eliminate Gadoli.
Blackmail and Gangster Connections
Abhijit claims that he killed Divya because she was blackmailing him. The police are also investigating the possible involvement of gangster Gadoli's family and the role of Binder Gujjar, who was allegedly involved in a fake encounter that resulted in Gadoli's death. Divya had previously been arrested in connection with the case but was granted bail last year.
The Divya Pahuja murder case has taken several twists and turns, with new revelations emerging as the investigation progresses. The police are working diligently to recover the victim's body and bring all the perpetrators to justice. The case highlights the need for thorough investigations and effective coordination among law enforcement agencies to prevent such heinous crimes.
