Gurugram: 5 Friends Vomit Blood, Hospitalised After Eating Mouth Freshener At A Cafe

In a tragic and shocking incident, more than five people fell ill and started vomiting blood after eating mouth freshener at a restaurant in Gurugram. According to the reports, all five were immediately hospitalised after they consumed mouth freshener at La Forestta Cafe in Gurugram's Sector 90.

As per the police report, Ankit Kumar went to a restaurant with his friends who ate mouth freshener after having their meal and started complaining of their mouth burning. In a few minutes, they started spitting blood.

The video of the incident is doing round the internet, in which, Ankit Kumar and his friends can be seen crying, screaming, and complaining of discomfort.

Soon after the incident, Gurugram police were informed about the incident, and subsequently, a case has been lodged against the restaurant owners and a probe has been initiated.

Ankit Kumar said, "We don't know what they have mixed (in the mouth freshener). Everyone here is vomiting. They have cuts on their tongues. Their mouths are burning. Don't know what type of acid they have given us."

"I showed the packet of the mouth freshener to a doctor, who said it was dry ice. According to the doctor, it is an acid which can lead to death," the complainant said in its statement to police.

Out of five hospitalised, two are in critical condition, the reports added.
