Gurucharan Missing Case: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Cast, Friends, And Family To Be Questioned

Gurucharan Singh, known as Sodhi from the popular TV show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been missing since April 22, and there have been no major developments in the case.

It has been learned that the investigation has now reached Mumbai, where his castmates and friends are being questioned by Hindustan Times.

Gurucharan Missing Case Remains A Mystery

Gurucharan, who portrayed Roshan Singh Sodhi on the show, was supposed to catch a flight from Delhi to Mumbai but did not. He has not returned home since then, and his phone has been switched off ever since. According to sources, the investigation is currently underway, with everyone associated with Gurucharan cooperating in every capacity.

"There have been several reports suggesting different things about Gurucharan's life, from him facing financial crunch to him getting married soon. Now, a team has reached Mumbai from Delhi to investigate the missing case and put the missing pieces of the case together," a source familiar with the matter said, as reported by Hindustan Times.

People involved with the case from the outset, including the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, his friends, and family members, are being questioned to ascertain his state of mind and uncover any potentially important details for the investigation. Phone calls are also being made to gather information about the case and their association with Gurucharan. Everyone involved has been very supportive thus far.

Gurucharan has been missing since April 22 from Delhi Airport, and his father has filed a missing persons report at Palam Police Station in Delhi. Earlier investigations by Delhi Police revealed that he was soon to get married and was facing financial struggles. It was also discovered that Gurucharan withdrew ₹7,000 from an ATM in Delhi, as reported by Hindustan Times.

His last known location, on April 24, was traced to be Palam, a few kilometres away from his home. CCTV footage around his home in Delhi is being monitored to trace the route he took to the airport. The TV industry has been shocked by Gurucharan's disappearance, with television bodies also becoming involved. It is believed that Cine and TV Artistes Association's (CINTAA) Amit Behl has been informed about the matter.

"Everyone in the industry is in shock. CINTAA has been informed about the case, but there has not been a major development in that sense. There is no idea about where he has gone or what has happened to him yet. Everyone is waiting and watching," said a source on conditional anonymity, as per media reports.

Meanwhile, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah's producer Asit Kumar Modi recently reacted to the news and praised Gurucharan, claiming that all his dues were cleared. Gurucharan, known for his comic timing in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, bid farewell to the show in 2020. In a past interview, he had mentioned being approached for Bigg Boss OTT.
