Amit Shah Highlights Guru Tegh Bahadur's Courage as Inspiration for Every Indian

Amit Shah commemorates the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur, emphasising his courage and sacrifice as a lasting inspiration for all Indians.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah honoured Guru Tegh Bahadur, highlighting his unwavering commitment to his faith. Shah attended a Delhi government event commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of the ninth Sikh guru at the Red Fort. This was the first significant gathering at the historic site since a blast on November 10 that resulted in 15 casualties.

Tribute to Guru Tegh Bahadur's Sacrifice

Shah emphasised Guru Tegh Bahadur's bravery and determination in confronting injustice. "The courage and valour with which Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji confronted injustice and unrighteousness is a source of inspiration for every Indian," Shah stated on X. He noted that the guru's life exemplifies India's spiritual consciousness, courage, and sacrifice.

The Home Minister also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi's decision to ensure nationwide observance of this significant day. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that the entire nation will gratefully observe the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Sahib, remembering his dedication to dharma and culture," Shah said.

Commemorative Event at Red Fort

The three-day event at the Red Fort began on Sunday, marking the martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Shah expressed his respect for the guru's sacrifice, stating, "Today in Delhi, I paid homage and bowed in reverence to the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji."

He further remarked on how the stories of Guru Tegh Bahadur's renunciation and bravery will continue to inspire future generations. "The stories of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji's renunciation, courage, and sacrifice will continue to inspire us for eternity," he added.

The event serves as a reminder of Guru Tegh Bahadur's enduring legacy and his role in protecting religious freedom. His life remains a testament to spiritual strength and selflessness, inspiring countless individuals across India.
