New Delhi, Feb 28: A day after the Delhi University turned into a battlefield, Gurmehar Kaur, who received a lot of criticism for her views against the ABVP, on Tuesday tweeted and said that she had withdrawn from the 'Save DU campaign.' Kaur, who on Monday filed a complaint and was given protection from the DCW, withdrew from the campaign on Tuesday and said, "I'm withdrawing from the campaign. Congratulations everyone. I request to be left alone. I said what I had to say. I have been through a lot and this is all my 20-year-self could take."

She added that the campaign was about students and not about her. "Please go to the march in huge numbers. Best of luck. To anyone questioning my courage and bravery, I've shown more than enough," she said in another tweet.
Kaur was supposed to attend a march by students and faculty on Tuesday from Khalsa College. She was criticized for her views on ABVP and said that ever since she became vocal of her opinions, she had received rape and murder threats on social media.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that he would meet Delhi Lt governor on Tuesday seeking action against ABVP and threats to Kaur.
