Gujarat shocker: 80-year-old man beaten to death over petty issue

Ahmedabad, Sept 11: In an inhumane incident, an 80-year-old man was beaten to death in Ahmedabad.

The shocking incident happened on Tuesday, Sept 1, when around eight hooligans mercilessly beaten up the old man with hockey sticks.

Zee Media reported, "eight youths barged into Abdul Qadir Sheikh's house, dragged him out onto the streets and brutally beat him for 30 minutes."

The entire bone-chilling incident was captured in a nearby CCTV camera.

One of the main accused Irfan had allegedly gone to buy cigarrette at Abdul's shop on Friday, Aug 14, but he refused to pay for it. When asked, he hit Abdul's helper, following which a heated argument ensued between the two.

On Sept 1, Irfan, along with seven other goons, barged into Abdul's house to take revenge and beaten him to death.

Shockingly, onlookers chose to watch the heart-wrenching incident as mute spectators and no one mustered the courage to save the elderly man.

When the attackers left Abdul bruised and battered, the his neighbours called an ambulance. He was admitted to nearby hospital, but he succumbed to the grievous injuries.
