Gujarat: Multi-Storey Building Collapses In Surat, 15 Injured; Several Feared Trapped
A six-storey building collapse in Sachin Pali village, Surat, Gujarat, has resulted in injuries to 15 people, with at least four feared trapped.
The collapse occurred following several days of heavy rain, leading to the dilapidated building's failure. The injured have been taken to a local hospital for treatment, reported Hindustan Times.

The building, which was eight years old, housed several textile workers and their families. Distressing visuals from the scene depict large chunks of concrete debris scattered in a mountain-like formation.
The incident happened around 3 pm, according to police officials familiar with the situation.
Rajesh Parmar, DCP Zone 6, Surat, confirmed no casualties have been reported yet. One woman has been rescued from the rubble, while four to five others are still believed to be trapped.
Rescue operations are underway, with fire officials, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) working together to clear the debris and save those trapped.
