Modi, Advani to share stage in Gujarat

After a long stand off between the duo ever since Narendra Modi was declared the party's choice as the Prime Ministrial candidate, Gandhinagar MP and the former deputy Prime Minister LK Advani has finally decided to shed the sulk and join hands with Modi wholeheartedly.
A 1.2 kilometer stretch of the riverfront on the east and the west banks will be thrown open by the duo on Wednesday. Previously, the top bosses of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) had tried to bring them together during the inauguration of the new elevated flyover at Ellisbridge, but were unsuccessful. Following that, the last time they were seen together was during the Sept 25 rally in Bhopal. However, the tension was visible there too when the duo sat at the extreme ends of the stage.
Efforts by the senior BJP leaders had also been unsuccessful when Advani sought an official invitation from the CMO for the inauguration of the BRTS flyover. He withdrew from accepting the invitation when he did not receive a proper note.
