Gujarat Showcases Global Investment Potential at Diplomatic Meet in Delhi Ahead of Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference

In New Delhi, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led a diplomatic session with representatives from 45 countries, emphasising Gujarat's economic growth and the upcoming VGRC initiatives aimed at fostering international partnerships.

In a high-level diplomatic engagement held in New Delhi, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel led an interactive session with ambassadors, high commissioners, and mission heads from 45 countries. The event served as a strategic prelude to the upcoming Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences (VGRC), aimed at deepening international partnerships and showcasing Gujarat's evolving industrial landscape.

Addressing the gathering, CM Patel highlighted Gujarat's emergence as a globally connected economic powerhouse, citing USD 69 billion in FDI inflows and a 27% contribution to India's total exports. He emphasized that Gujarat is no longer just a commercial state but is rapidly transforming into a hub for new-age industries. "Gujarat is leading the way in futuristic sectors like Artificial Intelligence, SpaceTech, FinTech, Semiconductors, Defence & Aerospace, Electric Vehicles, and Green Energy," said the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister underscored Gujarat's logistical advantages, including India's longest coastline, 49 operational ports, and the PM Gati Shakti multimodal transport network, which collectively position the state as a leader in industrial connectivity and export facilitation. He noted that Gujarat contributes 18% to India's industrial output, reflecting its pivotal role in the national economy.

VGRC: Expanding the Vibrant Gujarat Vision

CM Patel explained that the VGRC initiative is designed to extend the success of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit to every region of the state. The conferences aim to empower MSMEs, promote regionally balanced development, and foster inclusive and sustainable economies. He invited the diplomatic community to align with the VGRC theme, "Regional Aspirations, Global Ambitions," and participate in upcoming conferences through trade, investment, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Speaking at the event, Shri Sudhakar Dalela, Secretary of the Economic Relations Division, Ministry of External Affairs, praised the VGRC initiative as a vital step in showcasing regional strengths and aligning local aspirations with the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 and Viksit Gujarat @2047. Senior officials including Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary Shri M.K. Das, Principal Secretary (Industries) Ms. Mamta Verma, and Joint Secretary (Economic Diplomacy) Shri P.S. Gangadhar also addressed the session, reinforcing Gujarat's commitment to global collaboration.

The event concluded with a strong message of partnership, innovation, and shared prosperity, setting the stage for the upcoming VGRC and reaffirming Gujarat's position as a preferred destination for global investors.
