Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Launches 11 Neonatal Ambulances and Rs 273 Crore Police Development Projects

Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi inaugurated 11 neonatal ambulances for emergency services and unveiled police projects worth Rs 273 crore in Gandhinagar, enhancing healthcare and police facilities.

On Wednesday, Gujarat's Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi launched 11 new neonatal ambulances in Gandhinagar. These state-of-the-art vehicles are part of the 108 emergency service. They will be stationed at health centres across Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Surat, Dang, Tapi, Junagadh, and Rajkot districts, according to officials.

Sanghavi also inaugurated several police department projects worth Rs 273 crore in Gandhinagar. Among these is an Urban Police Station and 36 Class-B residential quarters in the InfoCity area. This development will cost Rs 14.17 crore and cover a plot of 2,876.906 square metres. It will feature modern amenities like parking for 43 cars, rainwater harvesting, a solar rooftop system, and a firefighting system.

Police Housing and Facilities

At the Sector-27 police headquarters, a new housing complex for police staff is planned. This project involves constructing 280 Class-B residential quarters at a cost of Rs 89.07 crore. The complex will include basement parking, an open gym, a children's play area, solar panels, and two lifts per block.

Additionally, a CPC Canteen and Gymnasium have been built at Sector-27 on a 1,320 square metre plot for Rs 2.23 crore. The ground floor hosts a canteen, milk parlour, vegetable shop, and general store. The first floor features a modern gymnasium hall. Sanghavi inaugurated this facility today.

New Jail Complex in Bhadroda

A significant jail complex is being developed in Bhadroda village at a cost of Rs 158.58 crore. This facility will include a district jail with a capacity for 560 inmates and offer amenities like a library, hospital, and vocational training centre.

The high-security jail within the complex will accommodate 404 inmates and feature a video courtroom and study centre. An Open Jail with space for 120 inmates will provide special facilities such as a cultural hall, auditorium, and cow shed.

The initiatives launched by Sanghavi aim to enhance emergency services and improve infrastructure for law enforcement personnel in Gujarat. These projects reflect the state's commitment to modernising facilities for both public safety and police welfare.
