Gujarat ATS arrest suspected ISIS operatives from Surat
The Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad arrested 2 suspected ISIS terrorists from Surat who were planning to execute a terror plot in Ahmedabad during the Gujarat Elections.

The ATS said that both the operatives were working for Islamic State (ISIS) and were planning to execute a terror plot in Ahmedabad during the Gujarat elections.
The ISIS operatives are identified as Kasim and Obaid, both residents of Surat. Kasim was planning to abscond to Jamaica after executing the blast.
Security across Gujarat has been intensified today after the Election Commission finally announced the schedule for the Gujarat Assembly elections.
Assembly elections in Gujarat will be held in two phases on December 9 and 14. The first phase will be held in 89 of the 182 seats and will cover 19 of 33 districts.
The votes will be counted on December 18, the same day as Himachal Pradesh.
