Gujarat: 80-Year-Old Man Shoots Son Dead In Rajkot For Objecting To His Remarriage
An 80-year-old man in Jasdan, Rajkot, has been arrested for fatally shooting his 52-year-old son following a dispute over his decision to remarry, reported India Today.
The accused, Rambhai Boricha, was taken into custody after the victim's wife lodged a police complaint.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police KG Zala, Prabhat Boricha was shot by his father on Monday.
Initially, authorities suspected a land dispute as the motive; however, further investigation revealed that the conflict stemmed from Rambhai's intention to remarry after his wife's passing two decades ago.
His decision had been a source of ongoing tension within the family, leading to frequent arguments. Rambhai had allegedly made prior threats to harm his son and his family.
On the morning of the incident, Jayaben, Prabhat's wife, accompanied her husband to serve tea to his father. As she was leaving, she suddenly heard two gunshots from the house.
When she rushed back, she found the door locked. Rambhai emerged holding a gun and attempted to attack her, prompting her to flee. Later, when her son returned, she informed him of the events.
Upon entering the house, they discovered Prabhat lying in a pool of blood, while Rambhai sat nearby. Prabhat was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Following Jayaben's complaint, the police arrested Rambhai Boricha, and investigations into the case are ongoing.
