Gruha Jyothi Scheme: How To Check Status Of Your Registration In 5 Steps?
It's been almost a month since the registration for the Gruha Jyothi scheme launched by Karnataka's government.
Under the scheme, the Siddaramaiah government gives up to 200 units of free electricity to the people of Karnataka who have registered their account numbers. Till July 11, a total of 1.06 crore (1,06,35,340) customers have enrolled for the free electricity scheme.

The registered users will get free power from the month of August. However, many registered customers are still clueless about whether they are eligible to avail free electricity or not even after the registration.
Are you eligible to get free electricity?
Well, the netizens can check the status of whether or not their account number is registered for the Gruha Jyothi scheme online. Here, we tell you the steps:
- Log Into: https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/
- On the home page, there is an option to find the status - Track Your Application Status
- Click the text.
- Upon clicking it, you will be taken to another page where you will be asked to select Escom name
- Then, enter your account number
- The result will show the status of your application.

Note: For a quick registration keep your Aadhaar number, Account ID of your electricity connection and mobile number of Aadhaar ready with you.
- Log Into -https://sevasindhugs.karnataka.gov.in/gsdn/
- Click the check box, enter captcha and press submit button.
- You will be asked to enter Aadhaar Card number.
- In the next page, you will be asked to confirm your Aadhaar number and an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Once entering the OTP, you will have to enter your consumer number along with other details.
According to the recent statement released by BESCOM, if a consumer enrols for the 'Gruha Jyothi' scheme within July 25, he will be able to avail free electricity for the month of July.
Similarly, those who enrol after July 25 and before August 25, will be eligible to get free electricity for the month of August, only if the monthly consumption is under 200 units as an average.
