Grateful for GST support: Nirmala Sitharaman

New Delhi, Aug 3 Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman on Wednesday said the government was "grateful" for the support it got from various political parties on the Goods and Services Tax Bill.

"We are indeed grateful. It is really encouraging," she told reporters after the bill was passed by the Rajya Sabha.

Former Finance Minister P. Chidambaram said that the Congress managed to get the bill improved to some extent.
