Granthan Sengupta tops West Bengal HS exams, scores 99.2%

Granthan Sengupta from Jalpaiguri District School topped the West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination 2018 by scoring 99.2%. Sengupta is from the Arts Stream.

The topper from the science stream is Ritvik Kumar Sahu who scored 98.6%. Sahu stood second overall. Biswajit Dutta topped the commerce stream, his overall rank is 8th.

This is the first time in several years that a student from arts stream has topped the class 12th exams. The overall pass percentage stood at 83.75%.

The Class 12th Higher Secondary examination for the academic year 2017-18 was conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education from March 27- April 11. More than 8 lakh students have appeared for West Bengal Class 12 examinations. The results are now available on wbresults.nic.in and examresults.net.
